I can help you: You need a converter like this one:

http://www.amazon.de/dp/B002CBN81S/?smid=A2SPS3CI7RTX03&tag=preisvergleich-idealode-21&linkCode=asn&creative=6742&camp=1638&creativeASIN=B002CBN81S

With the converter you can connect the ATV 2 to your Beovision via HDMI and also via Scart, by using this adapter:

http://www.amazon.de/Scart-Adapter-3x-Cinch-S-VHS/dp/B0014HB4YO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1295175754&sr=8-2

When you use your ATV 2 in mainroom, digital HDMI is uses. In linkrooms, analogue Scart is used.

In linkrooms picture quality is of course not digital or HD.

It works fine! And it´s a cheaper solution than a second ATV 2.

Regards

Räuber

Yes i am using ATV1 also and i have the component out, is that what you are running into scart?
I have mine conncted to the BV7 by HDMI and Audio and controlled by the puc apple remote which works fine but not video.

So if im reading this correctly you are connecting the component output to your BS2 via scart?

Re: Apple tv video via link system

Hi Seanie

There is one issue here. I use ATV1 and not ATV2. I have connected the ATV on my BV 4-42 (BS2) over the Composite to Scart on the 3rd scart (decoder). I also made ATV learn one remote that exists on my PUC (STB) + the iR cable used for this reason and it is now remoted through my Beo4 as DTV.

Since my BV4-42 is the master TV, it distributes the video signal to all the other TVs in the house by pressing DTV or Link DTV (where a local DTV button is used).

Re: Apple tv video via link system

Hi Spiros
How have you done this?

Re: Apple tv video via link system

Much more difficult to distribute Video than it is to distribute audio. In USA most if not all B&O is not equipped for Video distribution, but my understanding is that all (current) B&O video distribution is analog. That is the distribution signal is analog, and the source from which the signal is drawn must also be analog.

Thus regardeless of whether you have ATV or ATV2, you would need to convert the signal from digital to analog, and distribute that. There are obviously other digital technologies that allow you to distribute a digital signal, but you will end up spending a lot more on the distribution system thant what it will cost you to have say an ATV2 at each TV (assuming your BVs all have a digital input).
