For the record, and just in case it helps someone else, I discovered that my new Sky box had SCART Control switched off (Settings | Picture | SCART Control).

Switching this on enabled on/off control of the Sky box using a Beo4 handset controller.

The TVs are a BeoVision 7, a BeoVision 6 and an old Avant.

I use Beo4 remote controllers for managing the above, including controlling my Sky equipment. (My Sky box and the BeoMedia 1 are nicely hidden away in a fairly inaccessible attic cupboard, so I have to use B&O controllers.)

I had this setup for several years and it all works smoothly.

I have recently upgraded my Sky equipment to a Sky+ Anytime box. I quickly discovered that Sky's Auto Standby function was causing me problems so I switched it off.

QUESTION: Is there any way to switch a Sky box on again using a Beo4 remote controller, after it has been switched to standby?

If there is then I could leave the Sky Auto Standby function on and, if the Sky box has gone to Standby, switch it on again using one of my Beo 4s.

If there isn't, then I really have little option but to leave the Sky box on permanently, as trekking to the cupboard where the Sky box is kept in order to turn it on isn't an option (or at least not one I can sell to my family).

Apologies if this has been answered already. I looked but I couldn't find this exact situation.
