Thanks, but I have one question. How far back does this go? It would mean that 1986 will have 01, but what about earlier than this?

Yes, of course.

I am currently sorting out 'teething issues' which are now pretty much done, and after that i will be spending 1-2 days a week full time updating articles, news, FAQ's etc - as will Steve. This ought to create a pretty comprehensive database over the months/years!

Some products differ, but it will be in there!

Some V8000's and DVD1's have the Serial (for example) 9148345432 - but you just need to ignore the 9 at the beginning..

@ Lee - This is exactly the sort of info I used to store in the "my space" or "my controls" area in the old Beoworld, that I lost in the upgrading. Do you think there is a way we will be able to retreave this ? Cheers and congratulation again for the new site !

Here you go!

The first two numbers relate to the approximate year of manufacture. If a product was made just before everyone went home on Dec 31st 2003, it will be one digit out from a 2004..

Okay..

09 - 1994

10 - 1995

11 - 1996

12 - 1997

13 - 1998/99

14 - 2000

15 - 2001

16 - 2002

17 - 2003/04

18 - 2004/05

19 - 2006/07->
