A lot later than I'd like. The only estimate I've heard is fall, but a few other things have been pushed back a month or two already so I don't know if that date can be relied on.

Nope. The DAC is in the BeoSound 5 Encore.

Dear all,

I am just about to buy or give back a Cambridge DacMagic. Right now I have the following setup:

iMac -> USB -> DACMagic -> Beoport with BL6000 and port into my ML Network.

Also in the ML Network are:

Mainroom: BV8-40; BS3200; BL3; ATV2

Linkroom 1: BV8-32; ATV1 / Linkroom 2: BL2000

If I change now to BS5 Encore (instead of BS3200) then I will still use the iMac or the attached TimeCapsule as storage for music. But I guess I will not need any DAC anymore, because the Beoport becomes obsolete. Correct? Is there still any use for a DAC?

I assume that B&O brings out the ML<->Beonet converters quickly and one of these is in front of each "old" B&O Product.
