I could live with most colours but the green is my least favourite. Blue looks nice, red a bit over powering and gold is liveable with in the right surroundings..... Black and Alu are the best by far.

It'd depend entirely on the quality of the job Nick. Bear in mind that spraying them would cover over the Bang & Olufsen logo, which people don't like!

Shop around for spares.

Many owners like the Silver/Alu look and sell the original colour parts off all the time for very little. Personally, I find the Alu on Alu look about as exciting as a church pew, but to each his own. Therein becomes your source of colour change.

You will find there are different colour shades available, some quite rare and no longer produced. Try EBAY and poke around on the German, Swiss or French sites.

Changing them is quite simple, at least the front plates, which is primarily what is viewed when looking at the speakers. As simple as small Torx screwheads. ( The top and bottom elliptical pieces are double-taped on and slightly more work ).

You can have Blue for Winter, Red for Christmas, Green for Spring, and Gold when you pay your taxes !

Front panels simply unscrew, but you'll trash the top and bottom plates getting them off as they're affixed with double sided tape which could keep you attached to the underside of a fighter jet...

Definitely black frets! Just worried about breaking them as i'm not the handiest with a screwdriver!

I bet they would look nice in white, very modern! i think they would need black frets in my opinion.

Jeez, are the covers easy to take apart as i have a car sprayer mate who could be able to do me a favour - wonder if they would look nice white...... I'd have to disassemble and reassemble but if they are easy to take off......

B&O have been pretty crafty over the last few years...

All parts, spares and boxes to facilitate the reconditioning and shipping B&O have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled in price. Wonder why.

I had one of their boxes broken down and costed out by a professional company last year. Cost to make - £3.70. Their price £32.82 + VAT. The same box was £12.50 a few years ago.

Still.. they're a business - and in it to make money. You can't really hold that against them.

Very expensive.. It's over £120 per speaker even before you've changed the cloth covers!

Total colour change, with new speaker covers - circa £350.
