I like the look of the Logitech Harmony One remote, but no-one can can give me any assurance that the B&O and the non B&O components can be successfully combined through a master remote.

yep, and it works perfectly on any B&O item!!

One thing to be aware of is that the settings resulting from having set up an Harmony Remote Control are stored on Logitech's website,NOT one's computer.

The advantage is that if one does hit a problem one can not resolve,Logitech's Customer Support can input directly into the stored settings.

Initial setup,can be time consuming ,even for the computer 'savvy', in setting up the various 'activities'

Lintronic is great if you want to spend a huge amount of money and fiddle with programming a lot.

A Logitech remote will work with B&O

Heck, I just taught my Onkyo receiver remote that has a learning function some B&O commands...didn't think that would work but it did.

Which VCR do you have? Most B&O VCRs actually work via the TV so this may prove to be a problem unless you have the external IR receiver.

...or, it's possible to control everything in your set-up with the Beo5/6 directly.

another option is just to use your beo4 or beo5 with a lintronic system (http://lintronic.dk/) which allows you to control other products using your remote.

Go to the Harmony site type in your Modle/Brand names and it tells you if they work or not. That said it probably will work as i know they do most if not all B&o Good Luck
