The triangle on the plug makes the "old" and the "new" version of the "thin" cable distinguishable.

Re: Power link for beolab 3

Hi, there is a small chance that they may have used mk.1 cables (these are very thin, without the triangle symbol on the plugs). If this has happened, the only problem you are likely to have is that the Beolab 3 speakers may give a humming or buzzing noise that can be heard over the music.

If you do experience these problems, I would suggest asking the store to change the cables for you. Otherwise, there is no need to worry, as the quality of the wiring in the cables is the same for each version of Powerlink cables.

If you do decide to change the cables at any point, you may wish to bear in mind that there are other brands of cables available for your Beolab 3 speakers with very high quality wiring and gold connectors, which you can either purchase yourself, or through your B&O store.

Kind regards,

Steve.

Re: Power link for beolab 3

If they used an 8-pin powerlink, then it is either a Mark-II or Mark-III, either of which will work with your Beolab 3.

My B&o Store,in almancil-Portugal,put in my house 4 beolab 3 with powerlink with 8 pins. That i only discover now, after 3 years because One of the speakers had a problem and i read the smal book of instructions that become with the speakers and it says there, like i confirmed hear in your site, that the power link To beolab 3 are the ones with the triangle in the plastic. So i went To the Store and ask about why they instal my beolabs3 with other cables. They say that is no important and say those they instal To me are better because they instal them on the most expensive speakers of b&o speakers. Should i trust what they say?

Thanks
