Not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean the record does not seem flat on the platter? Or is the platter not flat compared to the deck? The first thing I would check is whether the record is sitting properly on the spindle. I have fixed the problem! One of the transport screws under the turntable had worked itself into (or about halfway into) the locked position. Now wobble and acoustic distortion has gone.

Good advice. I have just checked the hole and the spindle, but the LP is sitting just fine. Here is a short video showing the problem. There is a small amount of camera shake, but the reflection on the vinyl tells it all.

Beogram 5000 re-balancing...?

I think I need to rebalance the turntable on my new / old Beogram 5000. I have played a brand new vinyl record which is perfectly flat, and it is clearly undulating on the turntable. Is it possible to rebalance it myself, and if so how do I do it?
