The shop said - to register it to the existing BeoCom 6000 set up - unplug the 6000 base, give it a few seconds, plug back in and do the registration thing. That didn&amp;#39;t work, because the BeoCom 6000 is the original, oldest version, and it doesn&amp;#39;t work like that.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Of course the user manual is long gone. B&amp;amp;O don&amp;#39;t have it on their website. I don&amp;#39;t know if it&amp;#39;s anywhere on the net (maybe here, but I haven&amp;#39;t fronted up with the funds yet). But! I found another semi-related post here that said &amp;#39;press the button on the base&amp;#39;... so I went and found a button, between the recharging pins on the base; held it down for a few seconds, the indicator light started flashing (yay!) and a minute later we were all hooked up and in business.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So I post it up here in the hope that when I need this knowledge again, I can find it on here! And maybe it will benefit somebody else here too.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;BeoCom 5 sounds good so far, speaker works fine, and from a long-term user of BeoCom 6000s (home and work): they have been a truly great product.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
