Try the following key sequence

MENU 0 0 GO

MONITOR

PICTURE ADJUSTMENTS

FEATURE BOX MENU

MOVIE MODE

Can then switch movie mode on or off. I have fiddled around with this but it didn't seem to make much difference with the material that I watch. Maybe it will work for you.

BV7 Mk2 does interpret 5.1 surround sound

Regards

I have recently bought a second hand BV7-40 mkII with in-built dvd. I am very happy with its performance, even if it is not full hd

However, i don't like the way the dvd image is processed. i find it too fluid, looking like a soap-opera program. I know some people like this kind of "real" image, but I personnaly find that t ruins the movie experience. I don't have the problem when watching a movie through my digital box. so it is really linked with the algorithm of the in-built dvd

I have read somewhere in this forum that a "movie mode" setting exists in the hidden menu ("0" "0" "menu" sequence) but could not find where to de-activate it in the mkII version. Could you help me?

i would find stupid to buy another dvd player and plug it to my BV7-40.

another question : does the mkII version include a 5.1 decoder or is this only valid as from mkIII ?

thank you for your help

Greg
