Is for the IPOD to be able to remain in place (not removed), and still let an alternate source be chosen. For instance, in one of ,my Beosound 8 setups, I have an Ipod attached, as well as RCA cables run to a wall mounted 32" TV (not B&O). We luv using the BS8 as the "speaker" in place of the TV, but we *have* to remove the IPOD for the TV source to be "chosen" by the BS8. Would luv some IPOD/Beoplayer software toggle to allow the IPOD to stay in place (even if not charging) and allow another alternate source (TV/audio input), in this case to be active.

Also, the male adapter on the BS8 is too short. You cannot securely attach an IPOD WITH ITS CASE to the BS8. You must remove the case.

Not good. Not thought out as to how people use their IPODs on a daily basis.
