I managed to get my Motorola 1910 repaired instead of buing a new one. I learnt that 1910 and vip 1003 can not use the same remote so I thought, better repair than get a new box which might add an ugly remote

Unfortunately I can not confirm that any of the listed stb-codes work with vip 1003

The Motorola VIP 1003 uses either a standard NYX remote or a MRCU180 optional remote which has a keyboard one side and a normal remote the other side and will also support other TV and audio products including apparently B&O. However the MRCU180 was only announced by Motorola in September 2010 but does support almost every IR protocol you can think of.

The B&O PUC library supports several Motorola VIP products as below:-

VIP1200 which uses 36 Khz Carrier Frequency with 32 bit Manchester Coding

VIP1216 which uses 36 Khz Carrier Frequency with 32 bit Manchester Coding

VIP1216E which uses 36 Khz Carrier Frequency with 32 bit Manchester Coding

VIP1910-9 which uses 56 Khz Carrier Frequency

VIP1960 which uses 56 Khz Carrier Frequency with Philips RCMM protocol

VIP1903 which uses 36 Khz Carrier Frequency with unknown protocol

If you are able to capture a IR command from your original remote, then we could be sure which, if any would work.

Ir codes for Motorola vip 1003

Does anyone know if any of the motorola ir codes in the puc list works the vip 1003 iptv stb?
