&lt;p&gt;You&amp;#39;re mixing things up. The playing timer inside the avant is a timer which can be used throughout the whole system inside your house.&lt;/p&gt;

The TV was bought used and although it came with a manual it stated the play timer was within the TV options (which is where I have always seen it), but the manual is obviously not correct for the Avant type, and I never noticed the button by the display. You learn something new everyday...........&lt;/p&gt;

I&amp;#39;ve put it in my bedroom and masterlinked it to my bv6 and bs9000, picture and sound wise everything is working ok, but I don&amp;#39;t have the option (on the avant) to turn the timer on (which I use as an alarm clock). I had no problems using a bv1 in an identical setup previously.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;Anybody got any ideas?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;Many thanks&lt;/p&gt;Ian&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
