The volume, balance and tone control will be handled
(the same way as with passive speakers) by your amp.

Cable layout (per channel):

*) parts not included in the B&O set

From SPEAKER OUT (binding posts) of your amp
< *) 2 standard speaker wires (e.g. black+red) >
to the female DIN plug (B&O item#7220015)

DIN male < voltage divider > DIN female (included in B&O-item#6270795)

DIN male < adapter cable ~ 5m > RCA Cinch (included in B&O-item#6270795)
to the Cinch input of your speaker

Mode selector on your BLB 6000 to "LINE"

After purchasing these two cables, the volume will be able to be adjusted on the BeoLabs? The minimum volume while connected to my Vintage Yamaha receivers are very loud currently. I would love to keep them if these two cables made that possible!

Using an adapter cable you will be able to connect BeoLab 6000s to the "Speaker Out" of
your vintage Yamaha amp.

Ask your B&O reseller for the US price of a pair of B&O adapter cables B&O-item#6270795 and
a pair of DIN plugs B&O item#7220015 ... (In Europe price is approx EUR 75 for these 4 items)

PS: select "worldwide" in eBay - and you'll find 8 pairs of BLB 6000s beeing offered in Europe currently ...

I recently came into possession a pair of BeoLab 6000 speakers and I contacted my local B&O reseller and they were able to trace the serial number down to the year of manufactured, which is 1999. Now they are offering to sell them for me, as I have no use for them since they are self powered and I am unable to control their volume when connected to my vintage Yamaha receivers. I have scoured eBay and Craigslist, but I cannot find a pair. I am NOT looking to sell them here, so please don't be confused. I am just wondering what everyone thinks is a fair price, so I can tell them. I told them I would contact them after doing some research. I live in Austin, Texas if that matters. They are, from what I can tell, in immaculate working condition.

Has anyone purchased or sold a pair of BeoLab 6000's recently?
