So finally, video over DVI and sound through RCA on the Cam works, with the minor detail of having a hd-ready kit

You'll have to upgrade your TV (HD-Ready-Kit) if you want to use either
- COMPONENT 3x RCA-Phono for video + 2x RCA for audio or
- DVI for video + 2x RCA for audio

You seem to know it.

So next question: What happens if you DO have a copy write protected BR disk/contents?

Do you think you still have the full resolution on the component leads?

HD-ready-kit type 4371 can be used for BV6-26 Mk 1+2 and should still be available.

(a friend of mine had his 6-26 upgraded a few month ago and the kit had to be ordered)

I have just called the tech guy and left a message. The fellow that answered the phone wasn't sure if the module would still be available! Wow technology sure does move fast!

BV6-26 has been introduced 2nd half of 2004!
2004 only PC graphics delivered real HD pictures, a DVI-I input for PC use was the right choice those days!
Connect your computer via DVI<>DVI od DVI<>VGA cable and enjoy your pictures ...

This is ABSOLUTELY NO DIY JOB and will require some SW updates too!
- contact your B&O dealer and the B&O Service Center.

PS: I've already mentioned this in my previous post -
the Y-Pb-Pr COMPONENT (3x RCA/phono) will NOT be ACTIVE without HD ready update!

This is what I've tried up to now, thanks to your suggestions. I pulled the computer DVI cable out and tried the component cables, didn't work. I believe it is a mark 2 version because of the component inputs.

The Blu-ray player works just fine when hooked up with composite cables, but I'm guessing I'm not getting the better resoulution that Blu-ray has to offer.

I am going out today and picking up a HDMI to DVI connector that I will try using with two audio rca. This is so frustrating, why make a great tv with great resoulution specs, but no way to attain them?

I'm also wondering if a scart to component (with audio)exists? Would it work with it? I once bought one for my MX 7000 (scart to composite) and it just didn't work. I'm wondering if B&O uses non standard pin locations in the scarts?

Just try the Camcorder input.
It senses probably video on the DVI connector when not on the videocomposite (camcorder-video).

Also the Y-Pb-Pr component (3x RCA/phono) are not active before HD ready update!

Without HD-Ready upgrade of your 6-26 you can only use a SCART or the yellow "Composite"
RCA of your Camera input + L/R audio in SD

An upgrade with HD-Ready-Kit will be necessary to implement HDCP and enabling
the DVI input to handle other sources than (not HDCP-protected) PC signals.

The 4 digit Type # of your TV tells if it's a Mk1 or Mk2 version of the BV 6-26.
(You'll find it by removing the speaker cover)

Right...that's what I thought. So I guess the other alternative is the component plus audio plugs that are in the back. Any other ideas?

So, I was gifted a Blu ray player and tried hooking it up to the tv. I couldn't fiqure out what I need to do to the tv or remote to see the picture?

Any thoughts?
