Must be a 1610, the special ML kit for the first version of the AV9000.

The cable to connect to the jig is a special one. I have not tried to make one, but I think I am going to try. But you also need the BeoCom Service Tool to use it!

And what about my question regarding the RS232 cable or link cable. Can I make it myself?

If I look at the label on the software IC I think it is a T1610, if I did see it right. What does it exactly say on the label?

The second one is a service jig for uploading software to a BeoCom 6000 handset and base, MKI.

The first picture is as you suggest a Beolink Converter with the metal lid removed from the processor/software section.

The second picture is a jug for the Beocom 6000 to make the connection for software updates. There is in fact two types of jig, one for the base and another for the handset itself which you can see HERE

If you remove the battery from the Beocom 6000 and lift the corner of the labal you will either see two small holes or a trangle depending if it is a Mark I or Mark II handset. The jig in my picture fits into these holes.

Your picture allows the update of the base and again there are holes under the label.

There are many such jigs for allowing software updates to most of the Beocom range.

Got my hands on two items as shown below.

1st picture: Does anyone know what type of converter this is (1611?). No sticker on the housing.

2nd picture: It probably has to do with a Beocom but in order to use it I need a RS232 link cable as well to connect to my PC. Is this link cable easy to made and does anyone have a diagram? I have two of these so called "jigs". Software is also included.
