Hi,

BeoSound 8 turns on at "NRADIO" command, nothing else; quite strange, since the audio source on the Ipod/Iphone is more likely to be "NMUSIC" or "AMEM"

So far I have managed to use the Beotime as a remote for the Beosound8 which is pointless as the BS8 already comes with one. Beotime does turn the BS8 to standby and can change the volume but I am just having trouble waking the BS8 from the Beotime. If anyone has any ideas, much appreciated.

Graham as in B+O King Street - £850 last week, but voicemail says possible sale this week - not sure if the Beosound 8 will be in it!

Friend of mine just bought one of these ( hope to hear it on NY Eve)

He always buys from Graham in Manchester, and he got a sweat deal too, by all accounts. Might be worth a call.

I think I saw it for £800 in Lancashire so will do some calling around. If Sheffield can price match I'll go there as I bought some bits from there before and very impressed!!!

My understanding is that it doesn't have bluetooth. But honestly if you're are going to plug an AE in to it you probably will just end up using the BS8 w/ ipod plugged in and using the remote?

I found that because my main computer is an iMac and my music collection is on this library that most times if i play music in the 'office' lol that i wouldn't stream it anywhere else.

But if your main library and music is on a laptop then you may want to stream from the couch to the BS8 in the lounge room.

I bought one for Christmas but was tempted to open the package before Christmas day. It worked out great because all of my family members took turns docking their iPods and iPhones to play their favorite Christmas tunes. My brother liked the sound so much that I think he's going to get one as well. He said it blows away his Bose. No surprise there.

Works delightfully with the BeoTime. However, before I go off on a tit-fit and make a fool of myself. Was I wrong in thinking that when it was reviewed that the following paragraph:

"Connections.. Well, you’ve got direct Line Level Stereo Phono inputs (imagine plugging a BeoGram 4500 straight into it – how cool?!!) as well as a USB port to pluck music from your Mac/PC etc, then Bluetooth, then of course the actual iPod Dock itself."

Meant that it had some bluetooth capacity of some sort. If you were in too much of a rush to notice this detail then it doesn't.

Still amazing. Bluetooth would have been nice. Before I splash out on a Airport Express I want to be sure that wasnt a mis-print either.
