The BeoTalk 1100 & BeoCom6000 are two seperate products and can be used independently or together on the same line.

The BeoTalk 1100 can operate even if you don't have a phone connected, however your BeoCom6000 will NOT operate without a PSTN.

Juxst to add to jldmelb, the Beotalk must be connected to the primary phone socket and not to a secondary socket.

You have to use the B&O splitter (others will not be wired correctly internally.)

Check for loose connections and use elastic bands over the splitter connections if anything seems loose.

Hi, and welcome to Beoworld!!

The connections for your Beotalk should be as follows (other Beoworlders please correct me if I've missed something):

Power socket from wall to 3 way splitter

Phone socket to 3 way splitter

Beotalk to 3 way splitter

Then just follow the manual to set it up!

Problems connecting Beotalk 1100

This is my first time on the forum so forgive me if I've posted in the wrong place. I've been given a Beotalk 1100 to go with my Beocom 6000. The phone is just the basic version with out the PSTN station. Now I can get the Beotalk to work at all. The display stays lit and it shows the sign of a little phone. The little phone symbol tells me that either the Beotalk is unplugged or the line is busy if I follow the manual. The beotalk have been checked over by my local B&O dealer and should be fine. The thing is that the plug is in and that the line is not busy. What am I missing. Do I need the PSTN station, am I connecting the two wrongly. Hopefully some one on the forum can help me as I'm very confused.
