The components of these systems talk to each other in the same way even if the remote is different.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I have a BM 5000 system with MCP 5000.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If I add a&amp;nbsp;BG CD5500, BG CD6500 or BG CD7000 will it be compatible with the BM 5000 system and MCP 5000?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If compatibility is limited is there compatibility at the basic level of stop, play and similar functions. &amp;nbsp;(I rarely use any programming functions - either too old or too lazy).&lt;/p&gt;
