Ok i will get one from the dealer. I found out how to switch on the modulator. Apparantly B&O don't include a full (only a basic guide) printed manual anymore so I had to download it from their website.

I had the same problem with my Beovision 10, and i will say.... Buy the "Link amplifier"...

It works perfekt, and all connections is made at the amplifier in the addict or another room. My signal is perfekt in every room, both Analog and Link

6-26 or 8-40 ?

only available if TV is in Opt 1 or 2 (mainroom TV) = "broadcasting" frequency
if TV is in Opt 5 or 6 (linkroom TV) you can only adjust the "receiving" frequency
to the same value as on your main TV.

Ok thanks for the tip, still starnge that the BV-6 did pass on the signal..... But does anybody know how to switch on the RF modulator and set it's frequency?

...all new TV's send a "pure" RF signal of (internal as well as external) sources - no passing
through of the other antenna/cable frequencies like on VX/V8000 VCRs ...

professional solution: RF Link Amplifier - to add the RF signal coming from sources (internal
and external) of the main-room TV to the antenna/cable signal to be distributed to other link-rooms

simple solution: if cables are short and/or signal is strong enough
insert antenna "T" splitter either IEC 1x fem >> 2x male or 1>>2 F-connectors to send only the
antenna/cable signal to both TVs

Me neither, but I am lazy . If I can make something work in exactly the way I want it to with minimal effort I couldn't care less about if it works the other way or not.

That's not a criticism of you wanting to understand by the way. It's a criticism of me and my half arsed approach to everything I do that never quiet gets finished properly. If there's a workaround botch, I'll find it.

If I understand correctly, you are only wanting to pass through the analog signal, and not use any link functionality at all?

If, could you not just split the cable at the back of the BV8? One to the tuner in the BV8 and one to your other TV

Try this sequence ...

ACTIVE ANTENNA

There is a menu option for setting the LINK FREQUENCY but for the moment I can't find/remember it

Mine shows:"

DTV

Pressing MENU Twice

Other Settings

I can then choose:

Connections

Tuner setup

Sound settings

Picture settings

Stand-by-settings

BEO4 settings

Activate functions (the sub menu only has HDMI Matrix)

If activated, the RF out on your BV8 only outputs the link frequency. That's it!

If you want to recieve the other analog channels, you need to add the link amplifier.

If your BeoVision6 26 in the link room has either DVB HD or DVBt module then you need the RF link amplifier. If the link room TV does not have integrated digital tuner, it should work as it is.

I believe the link frequency is only needed to control a DVD1 or another scart source. All my sources are now HDMI so i cant control those. I just want the anlog signal. It worked fine on my Beovision 6-26. By the wat the ML connector works fine on my BV-8. (it's connected to a BM4500 through a 1611 convertor)

I might be wrong, but dont you need an RF modulator for that. I remember not being able to connect RF out directly to my link tv.

If an RF modulator is not needed, have you godt the linkfrequency right?

I have my new BV-8-40 since last saturday and I am really happy with it. I have kept basically the same cables as my Beovion 6 had so I didn't expect any problems. However in my setup the analog RF connection goes into the set (and I can recieve analog TV signals on the BV8) but to the RF out on the LINK module I have connected my MX4000 which is in the bedroom. I don't recieve a analog signal on the MX. Is there some setings I must do to enable the loop through of the RF signal?
