I have been there 2 years ago and have to admit its a great city and a very nice country. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Larskoelle</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>https://archivedforum.beoworld.org:443/forums/thread/304483.aspxThu, 09 Dec 2010 21:57:47 GMT41a2a90c-3a1e-4bd3-b144-3883695a7f38:304483Søren Mexico0https://archivedforum.beoworld.org:443/forums/thread/304483.aspxhttps://archivedforum.beoworld.org:443/forums/commentrss.aspx?SectionID=13&PostID=304483<p>At last I got time to pick up my Bay items from McAllen, Texas: 1 BM 2400, 1 BM 901, 2 Beovox S45 (81-83), 1 BG 5000 with MMC 4.</p> <p>I could test the BM 2400 with BV 45s in McAllen, no foam rot, but a little greasy the foam, so change is needed, the BM no bass light, reception on Fm without antenna some few stations, with antenna a lot, and stereo light came on, sound OK. the 901 had a Danish power plug, so no test.</p> <p>The BG 5000 was good packed with a lot of tape, so I left it like that, the MMC 4 looked OK.</p> <p>Packed everything in buble plastick in my trunk and went back to Mexico city, 1100 KM with some bad potholes.</p> <p>Arrived home I connected the BM 2400, the S45s and antenna, and got a lot of stations, but no stereo light, but as I have done my home work, I have a cap and bulb kit from Martin, the stereo light was left in a pot hole.</p> <p>Put a new plug on the 901, connected the S45s and antenna, FM station, everything I get on my Beosound 3000 I get on the 901, but no stereo light, but all push buttons working, mono stereo works, connected the BG 5000, <img src="http://forum.beoworld.org/emoticons/02.gif" alt="Big Smile" /><img src="http://forum.beoworld.org/emoticons/02.gif" alt="Big Smile" />, Hanne Boels Dark Passion comes out with sounds I never heard before, cimbals, deep bass and good middle tones, my old BG 2404 with my old MMC4 had hum and odd noices, so I now I can walk on water.</p> <p>Connected the BG 2404 with the MMC4 from the BG 5000, no hum no strange noices, just like the BG 5000, read and learn, buy a good MMC4 or a SMMC4, before you try to modify your cables or connections or try to repair your RIAAs, it a difference like day and night.</p> <p>I will refoam the S45s, change the cap that Martin send me, change the caps and lamps in the BM 2400, change the belt in the BG 5000.</p> <p>I will come back with pics and reports as I start with the repairs.
