I guess the power supply is the problem. I have the BM1 connected to a switchable socket. Overnight, in my absence or in time where I doesnt need the BM1 the socket is switched off.

I will change this and try it again.

Thanks for all your input.

I will keep you informed

I think you do not need to shut off the BM1 from the mains.

The BM1 goes into standby and takes just a few watts.

The ML-board stays on power and it wakes up the proc and the rest of the system if it's triggered by the ML.

But nevertheless the BM1 is basically the same as the beoport. the hardware on the board from the BM1 works the same. It has only a extra (good) digital-analog audioconverter. So at first thought it should behave like a beoport.

no changes. Is believe it depends on the shutting down the BM1. Afterwards the ML is confused is not reating anymore properly.
Have changed to various options, but the system behavior is not changing. Guess BM1 is made to run every time without shutting down.:-)

I think I will take the recommendation and run the BM1 always. Maybe in my absence I am shutting down, because then I didnt need any music.

Cheers

I assume that BM1 and BS9000 are both in the same living room. By default, BM1 is set on A.Option 2 and I assume that the BS9000 is also set that way. If I remember correct, BS1 cannot be A.Option 5/6 that would probably be the solution. From my point of view, BS9000 should be placed as A.Option 5 so there is no conflict with the BM1. You should try this first but I'm not sure if you will able to bring Radio or CD in other link rooms.

Another solution would be to remove the iR eye from the Beomedia1 but you will not be able to control it since you have a non-B&O Tv.

Starting by this, try it and let us know results.

Best regards

Spiros

P.S: I would not advise to switch off the BM1 during your absence as it does not make any sense from my point of view.

Re: Beomedia 1 installed, Masterlink hang up

Hi,

I have a setup with 5 Zones. BS 9000 in the Livingroom as master. Beomedia 1 with a NON-Beo TV.

The thing is I will not run allday the BM1. Hence I shut down the BM1 during the week because I have no usage.

With shutting down the BM 1 the problems starting. If BM 1 off, e.g. I will go in the Bathroom with radio then nothing

happens. From case to case I can hear radio however I can not change to cd modus or change the station.

The same is for all link rooms. And the weird is if I switch off the running source on the BS 9000 is still the radio station

name shown and I must press the power button long time to switch the system off.

The things are changing if a start the BM1 then everything is work fine.

Maybe I have wrong option programming.

Hope thats now a better explanation of my issue.

Thanks

One question.
What do you mean switch off? To my knowledge, Beomedia1 does not switch off even if shut the TV down, in order to distribute N.Music & N.Radio.
Concerning your setup, I think that maybe the BS9000 should be option 5 or 4. But I really cannot be sure about it.

Beomedia 1 installed, Masterlink hang up

Hi All,

I have a question, since I have replaced my Beoport through a BM1 the masterlink hang up after I have switched off the BM1.
Thats means better, if I switch on my BS 9000 without BM1 (that means I keep the BM1 off) in the Link rooms the response takes a couple of seconds either I hear nothing or no control is possible.

After switching off the system, switching on the BM1 everthing works fine. Whilst I had the Beoport in the ML instead of the BM1 I could let the Beoport switched off and had no problems.

Maybe anybody had already the same issue or can give me support to findout the right option programming.

Thank you in advance.

Cheers
