Walked past a store which had one in the window and had to go inside for a look.

I don't think he's lost his touch.

I think the design studio might be on it's way back... There's almost nothing in the current collection that I would buy. This new cube is an exception to the rule.

Beek, I was disappointed. It might be a very good sounding product, but the design is way too off for me. It doesn't look like a B&O product. If I saw it somewhere, and didn't know it being a B&O product I could never connect it to B&O.

The small remote is very cool though, but sadly, it's not enough for me.

The Beosound 8 is € 980 in Holland if I'm informed correctly. Agree about the looks completely from what I've seen from the pictures. Still have to see it in the flesh, though...

Correction.

Jacob Jensen's latest offering shows that he's lost his design touch (in comparison with the B&O products of the past.)

That is a pretty neat box! I like how the CDs are handled without a tray. I also like how there is a dock as I cannot live without an iPod and I think the iPod looks good on the top!

I like the cube too, but i the shelf placement oin the first picture doesn't work for me, I like it much more in Soundproof's picture as a freestanding unit and the echoes of the 80's and 90's Beosystems is very pleasing.

Good choice putting a BV8 in the background - it's probably the only thing from the current selection that goes well with that.

Have to say I like the Jensen cube a lot as well.

I was also under the impression that the man himself doesn't really do much nowadays. Note how carefully marketing material usually refers to "Jacob Jensen Design" (the company), not Jacob Jensen, even if building on the old heritage. Very obvious in that Toshiba TV collaboration video - I've lost the YouTube link, but it's well worth a view if you can find it.

Indeed very interesting. The ethernet part though shows the Masterlink Gateway path. And that means a full revision of my complete home link. Still it's something to consider!

Not in the flesh, but I am not struck by either the BS8 or the Tangent box!

I've seen the BS8 in the flesh, and it's not that hot...

Can't say I won't buy one at some point, I love the small remote, but the overall design could be better IMHO. I'll keep my BS3 for now.
