The new A6 with advanced sound system is spot on. Thank you, beocool, for sharing this info.
The A6 shares the same platform as the Audi A7 (also available with advanced sound system) so this news was to be expected. And very warm welcome.

Off topic: Not having seen the new A6 live, it seems like the new A6 is missing the outside sleek elegancy from the former A6. I don’t like the new A6 outside bulky mirror housing and door handles. So I hope the live experience will be better to have a definite judgment. Just my opinion.

Audi's not available with B&O are now A1, A3 and A6 Avant

I remember reading a Car and Driver article about the A8 for 2008 and they said the option was USD 6,700 ~5,000 EUR.

The price for a Bang & Olufsen advanced sound system in an A8 is $ 6,300 at the moment. That's about half of what you pay in the Netherlands...

So for me - definitely not worth 10.000 Euro....

The price of the sound system is that high in Holland because of our tax system... In Germany you pay € 6.500 for the advanced sound system in the A8. I think the system in the A6 will be a little cheaper and have slightly less impressive specs.

This B&O system will cost you a lot more than € 1.000. For about € 1.000 you can have a much less powerfull and impressive B&O soundsystem in an Audi A4. This will be a 1.300 Watt with moving tweeters, much more like the B&O advanced soundsystem you get in an Audi A8. In Holland you pay € 10.380 for that...

To be honest (as posted over in Peter Pan's thread)... I do not care for it. Too crisp/tense for my liking. Would I still order it? Probably!

It is fun to watch the ALTs rise up! (6002/8002 shoulda' had them added!)

Yes, that screen probably handles a bit more than navigation.

Ummm... just to clarify: That is not a NAV screen! Well, not exactly -it is much more!

And yes... press a button and down it goes.

Trust me... if it wasn't there -you would all be bald from pulling your hair out!

Looks beautiful. Their interiors are definately an improvement.

I prefer integrated Nav screens as I leave mine on and have come to refer to it just like any other instrument. Having it popped out detracts from the lines.

It does look a bit like an afterthought, I must admit... I think the display will disappear once the sat nav is turned off. Will look much better then.
