I also still have some clouds during dark scenes even with build 153 and the installation of a special aluminium plate on the back of the screen.

I had a DVB and analog module death between build 126 and 127 but it was due to a faulty puc code that damaged the mother board

(yes it's complicated !).

My puc codes also had to be updated in the same time that the update of the firmware (I lost the control of my set top box and PS3 RE-BL between build 126 and 127).

So, to resume, yes you'd better get build 153 because you may see less "clouds" (it won't be worst anyway) and you get the addition of Beo4 with navigation wheel that, once you get used to it !, is great.

Cheers,

Still clouding though

BV10-40 Firmware Update (Build 153)

I've been reading about this update in a couple of posts.

Some have had a problem with the update 'killing' the DVB module.

Others have claimed it improves the 'clouding' problem.

I have the clouding issue on mine, which I'm sort of accepting, until there's a gloriously dark scene in what I'm watching and it has some blotchy whitish hazy areas.

Questions: is the software update covered by warranty (haven't spoken with my dealer yet)? Does it resolve the clouding issue? Should I have it done? Is it likely to cause new problems?

What do others who've had the update done think of it? I'd be keen to hear your experiences.
