Funny thing though, I got quotes ranging from 50Euros all the way up to 200Euros for the same type.nr depending on which Beo-store I contacted. One would think that they would follow the standard pricelist on accessories too. :-)

Re: Plasma protected IR-eye

Hi,

I purchased the plasma protected IR (8087030) a year or two ago direct from Lintronic and it works fine. From memory it cost about $100.00 AUD. Much better than the $250.00+ AUD I was quoted at the dealer for the same thing.

I just looked and they are still available on the Lintronic website for 93.00 Euro + GST/Vat.

Peter

Re: Plasma protected IR-eye

I think it been sice 2004-5, the one for bl.pc2 is also used on the first BV4 Plasma...

Re: Plasma protected IR-eye

Got this from B&O today:

We are pleased to learn that you are
the owner of Bang & Olufsen product. As regards the IR sensor for the
Beolink PC2 and placement near a plasma screen, we must say that we have
not tested this and we must therefore advise to test the placement yourself.

We regret not being able to help you.

So it seems that BeoCare have no clue.

Bang1, are you sure they are all plasma ready?
Due the fact that I have a plasma screen the normal IR receiver in my 238 box doesn't work that well.

Apparently a IR/eye type. 8087030 is to be used. According to the stores this is for BeoLink PC/2 use and they have no clue about it being plasma "protected". I have sent an email to B&O's help desk but I assume that I'll get quicker response here...

Can anyone here please clarify?

Br,

Jonas
