. Hi John. I agree. I was seiously looking at a bv10 46 but I went with a nx810 in the end for a few reasons: no of hdmi, iptv and connectivity. I preferred the nx with powered speaker stand over the hx If the bv10 had matched it on features I would have bought it. I put the remaininng money into another Jimmy possum sofa.

I heard more colours, better screens and processor also more placement options and better spec speakers are on the cards

Ok just found out that it wil be released this summer and will have three HDMI and 200Mhz screen.

Lets really hope they come to their senses and releases it in WHITE. It is still to this date a mystery to me why only the 32inch was available in white.

I really love mine(32-inch) as a bedroom TV the white set is really discreet against white walls and really blends in. Picture and sound is more than enough for a medium sized bedroom.

I´m also one of them who like the Bv 8-40. It´s not as good looking in 32" i think but 8-40 has perfect proportions, I think. I almost bought one but ended up with a 10-40 because I wanted motorstand which I had on My MX. The 8-40 would have looked a lot sleeker in my home though

I hope the new version allows for the motor stand facility from the chassis. A table version, which was provided for the MX/LX and BV3 'main room' TV's would be particularly suited to the BV8 and improve its desirability as their replacement.

I don't know if the Mk2 is the same as the recent US-spec Bv8-40 (which we got this last summer, if I recall correctly)...

However, if it is, I bought one about 3 weeks ago, and I think it is fabulous. It took me since the summer to talk myself into it... after all, it's 4x the cost for old technology - right?!?! WRONG. Forget the specs and the CCFL screen, just look at the picture! I could not find another screen that was even close (maybe it's because the showrooms do not calibrate their TVs). The colors are so very life like, and I have to really look hard (and stand right next to the screen) to find imaging artifacts with an HD signal. The SD looks pretty good too (sure, you can find artifacts all over the place, but show me what competition is better?). I watch a lot of American football, and picture is outstanding.

Now consider that you can integrate it with the rest of your B&O stuff, and have it control your STB and DVD player (yes, more TVs are doing this), and it's not a bargain, but it's not such a crazy price eit,her.

The TV that it replaced was a mid-range Toshiba that died after less than 2 years. I trust I'll get significantly more years out of B&O (I hope this is not misplaced trust, but if it dies in 2 years, at least it will still be under warranty).

so lots of opinoins, but unfortunately no comment on the MK2...as I am looking to upgrade my 8-32 I am interested in any news regarding new version.

I got a white 8-32 in my kitchen, and I have never regret this purchase.

It looks good, picture is good and sound is very good.

That was amazingly ugly, in my eyes, Chris. I'm trying not to see those animated figures, but still. And I think it's the figures that are coloring my perception.
