Due to the fact, that both the System-Dock and The Beo6 are on the same webpage I really wonder if the System Dock sends information regarding the Album Cover back to the Beo6? That would be so cool :-)

BTW is there any information regarding what the Beo6 can do?

I know of: Album cover

But I can think of: Textual information of playing TV show (..now playing), DVD Cover, Actual Weather (I bet this is coming), incoming Emails, home automation integration: room temperature, pictures from surveillance cams if someones at the door (will I open the door for THIS guy ;-) )

this thing really could be a huge step forward for b&o

And PLEASE B&O: Make it user programmable (at least on request) - it took me forewer to get hold on the software to program the Beo5 - and to be honest, this is absolut doable for anyone with little knowledge on IT. So make the software with a price of 100 EUR and we all will be fine...we will be even better if you create a webpage, where we can exchange software codes, etc. While thinking about it, this could even be the first step for someone buying into b&o: First buying the remote for a home cinema setup, then starting to buy the rest of the stuff from b&o

Or maybe a hacker can program a windows/mac/appleTV/Tvix/... app in order to get the covers via a non-B&O mediacenter...

Let's just hope that the Beo6 will have a better battery, because Wifi uses a lot of power :-/

So no benefit to replacing a Beo 5 with a Beo 6 unless using a Beomaster/Beosound5?

YES...last friday, 3rd of december, I ordered a Beovision with a new remote...the Beo6, due in for installation 28 december.

I was told Beo 5 would be permanently replaced by Beo6

Beo6 features larger and higher resolution screen, WiFi connectivity for two way communication to get the icons of your albums over on the remote when using in combination with BS5/BM5. (at least thats what I picked up...)

Have you noticed where a search for Beo6 on the B&O website takes you? Straight to the page with the 'widescreen Beo5'. Could be barking up completely the wrong tree, but the speculation is enjoyable. I like the form factor, real or not!

Note that the +, back and scene buttons, which where sensitive physical buttons under the screen now seem to be on screen buttons...

Noticed this on the B&O website today. The Beo5 looks to have an awfully wide screen, beo6 anyone or just an odd angle? I know Puncher has mentioned pricing for the Sonace equivalent, but have we got B&O pricing yet?

Razlaw, the only way to get the ipod dock view on multiple TV's is with RF video distribution. While common with ROW B&O TV's, it is only available with a limited number of US spec BeoVisions. In your set-up the BV7 supports RF video distribution, but not the BV10.

It will attach to the main room set and, as it works via PUC, it will behave just like any other source connected to the main set. The ML works via the TV.
