yes, at 1W suspend mode may be affordable, thus, not hooked up to the master slave. I assume, that the BV goes nicely to sleep after the HDMI signal has gone, (caus the the stb went to sleep).

regarding the HDMI issue on startup we need ot see.

thanks again.

.......

As the audio part of the BV 10-40 seems to be decent enough for breakfast music, I wonder how I can persuade the TV to stay dark while the audio part does its thing.

The audio source would be the Reelbox, either through digital sat radio, or internet radio or local streaming.

.......

Assign your stb as "TV" or "DTV" and start the BV by pressing AV - TV or AV - DTV. The BV10 must be set to V.OPT 2.

redil:

.....

Further, currently I am contemplating to hook the TVset up to master/slave power sockets which get started through the Reelbox which works fine for my current MX-4000.

.......

I don`t recommend using a master/slave socket for a videomaster (or audiomaster), because you have to use a second remote to start the stb. And the pin code can be an issue. This said, I don`t even know, if the BV10 has a pin code, and if yes, can it be disabled? Anyway, the BV10 takes less than 1 W in standby mode....Maybe there will be an HDMI issue, because the stb starts up first and won`t "find" a HDMI connection....(?)

I don´t think the above is such a good idea. The BV10 takes about 20 seconds to get going from standby. Having it to also power-up on top of that, each time you wanted to watch TV, would be quite irritating I assume.

Should be able to add it as a button on the Beo 4 if you have a new Beo 4 to go with the 10.
I am in the process of getting a BV 10-40 which I would need to use through the Reelbox satellite receiver, i.e. the TV set would get ist signal exclusively through hdmi.

As the audio part of the BV 10-40 seems to be decent enough for breakfast music, I wonder how I can persuade the TV to stay dark while the audio part does its thing.

The audio source would be the Reelbox, either through digital sat radio, or internet radio or local streaming.

Is there someone around who has experience with this setup?

Further, currently I am contemplating to hook the TVset up to master/slave power sockets which get started through the Reelbox which works fine for my current MX-4000.

Can this be done?

greetings and thanks

Is it possible to
