The later models can accept the "PC" command hence BeoMedia can be controlled via the TV software.

If you have literally any other TV you can operate BeoMedia via the external eye. The obvious downside being the lower resolution when viewing photographs or browing favourite web pages.

thats not so bad then! I thought you had to have a flat panel tv, It is a great idea to be able to access your pics and music from your tv

However, you can still use it by putting the Beomedia1 in V.Aux command. From previous experience I would recommend that you use a Scart connection (to the TV) and switch it to V.Aux, otherwise you might have a problem with the control.

yes you need the ir eye from a beolink passiv or beovision 4. the only difference is the ir eye needs an 3,5 mm"klinkenstecke"( i knew only the german meaning sorry). and you need an 3,5 mm to chinch cable to your surroundmodul in.

Wondered if someone can point me in the right direction I have the above set up, I have been told my Bvis 3-32 17772664 Type 8523 is to old to be control the beomedia 1 via masterlink, which is fine, can anyone tell me, what kind of sensor do i need to make t work with the beo4, can I use a sensor from a Bvis4 if yes, can you tell me how it is wired, any help would be appreciated
