True Pavur, but that affects how the BeoSystem 3 'upmixes' 2-channel sources for surround.

Hi,

in the Customer Service Menu you can switch between Dolby Pro-Logic IIx Music/Dolby Pro-Logic IIx Movie/DTS Neo 6 Music/DTS Neo 6 Cinema or Auto.

Yes, you do. Daisy-chain from the socket box through the 2 BL-5's and then on to the BS-3 AV input.

For the first part of your question.... Connect the digital out from the BeoCenter 2 Socket box as before, but the PowerLink connection will be from the BeoSystem 3. Make certain that the PL cables are the ones supplied with the BL-5's or fully wired. On every other source the BL-5's will play from the PL cables; but from CD they will look for and lock on to the Digital connection. Also, software updates all around.

hi,

I need some help from someone that has the same configuration:

Beosystem 3 : front BL5, surround BL1, center BL4000

Before, my BL5 were connected via DIGOUT from Beocenter 2. Now, I wonder how should I connect them via DIGITAl. There is no DIG OUT on the BS3. I would like to listen music on DIGITAL and watch movies on 5.1.

Also, what is the benefit of connecting Beocenter 2 to BS3 via Masterlink?

I cannot figure out also how to switch betwwen : Dolby Digital 5.1/6.1 EX, Dolby 7.1 EX, Dolby Pro-Logic

ll/llx, DTS 5.1. DTS ES 6.1, DTS Neo:6 ?????????
