&lt;p&gt;If
 your source has a SCART, just use a fully connected cable and you&amp;#39;re 
done. The MX2000 honors the SCART control signal (pin 8) and will switch
 to the AV input automatically regardless of what program it was on 
before.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Alternatively, switch it to program number 0. I don&amp;#39;t have
 my MX here so I could try, but I think you unfortunately need the
