Besides the hardware probably the more important question will be, which company offers the best software to set up the remote.

That leads back to my original question, does anybody already has some experience with controlling B&O equipment via iPod / iPhone?

Hi Sounndproof. I think you may have missunderstood.
I was the B&O owner who asked if they had B&O codes yet, and they answered that they had added them but not tested them yet.

The following response "Yes. It works with iPhone 4." was directed to another question, non-B&O related.
I have downloaded their version of B&O remote but haven't bought the device yet. $70 inc P&P is wasted money if it doesn't work!
I thought about making a deal with them. ie Send me a freebie, and I'll post all over BeoWorld how fantastic it is. That would generate a few sales I bet!

According to an entry in their user forum the Re is not preprogrammed for B&O code but can learn and handle the special frequencies:

If you look at the fact sheet at the L5 Remote site, at the bottom you will find a question from a B&O owner who then proceeds to control his equipment with this universal remote for the iPod Touch and iPhone. He confirms that he has no trouble in IOS4.

As I understand it, they've added all the B&O codes to the device, controllable from the free app.

Does anyone have experience with the L5 Remote for iPod touch and iPhone?

Is it possible to control Bang & Olufsen products with?

Are there any alternative devices on the market to control Bang&Olufsen equipment via my iPod touch?
