if i have the cabinet in the same room it could look like this perhaps and i was thinking of having main in the cabinet and a connection to each speaker and a connection from the tv for everything possible then it becomes future proof (ish)

If i run cat7 from the tv to the cabinet then i can patch in different items when needed without lifting the floor again

Good time an offer has been accepted
The house is a Victorian end of terrace

Congrats.

I recommend having the media cabinet in the same room. And being a Victorian... what else is the option? Under the stairs?

Consensus here is that people are running Cat7 now in new installs.

Good luck and congrats

Good time an offer has been accepted
The house is a Victorian end of terrace so finally I can have somewhere where I can house my beo stuff
So the layout is a typical fro room with bay and then. Room behind same size
Now there is not any room in the bay plaster for any trunking so it might be into the floor the cables go
Do you lovely lot recommend having the media cabinet in the same room or in the behind room and longer cables run
Should I run cat7 instead of power link From my cabinet To my tv????

Re: Tidy Install

I cannot believe it after all this time and thinking i forgot the floors

A few peices of spare washing line should help if i need to add new cables in a years time as long as there is not to many 90 degree bends.

would you all put in every cable you can use or work out a method for pulling new cabled through.

maybe drainpipe inside the wall would work?

I am looknig at house at the moment and this leads me think about where to put my beloved Bv7, bearing in mind that i have a projector screen that drops down in front of the BV7 currently with the BL7.4 on a floor stand.

I had two idea's one put the setup next to a wall where i could pull everything through the wall and keep it in another room being a lovely solution but then the screen would have to hang away from the wall.

the other solutoon woudl be to put it in a bay window this would give me a perfect place for the tv to sit with no reflection and the PJ screen could run perfectly between the walls before the bay looking smart and not to out of place.

My question is I always wanted the solution to be cable free as in hidden as best as i can.

so they way i see it:

I can change to a table stand which means loose the 7.4 which i love so much now and would feel robbed of clarity.

or you fine people can help me think of the best way to hide the cables when the TV is in a bay window?

Anyone got any pics of the BV7 in a bay?

Anyone know of some sort of solution that will allow the cables to run in? i think they would run directly behind the tv or a foot down rather than to the floor then round.

Help me please......
