This does hi def and sound, I use it for PS3. Unfortunately you cannot then see this anywhere linked throughout the house.
Brian.

Re: BV7- 40 MKII and new Apple TV

VGA to HDMI prabably wont work, because the new Apple TV only has Digital out (HDMI + Toslink)

I use an HDMI to DVI cable on my Beovision 7-32 (It needs to support HDCP-Encryption) and the picture ist great.

In addition you will need a Optical to Coaxial Converter (will cost you approx 10 EUR) to get the sound into your BV7-40.

Depending on the age of your TV, you will need a software update too.

BV7- 40 MKII and new Apple TV

Hello All,

I need a bit of help here! I am thinking of buying the new Apple TV to connect to my BV7-40 but all the HDMI sockets have been allocated to STB and DVD

I am now asking if it is possible to get a VGA to HDMI converter for this set up and use SPDIF for sound? as anyone tried this? I dont want to go through the hassle of HDMI expander and incuring extra costs!

thanks,

John..
