&lt;p&gt;Did you resolder the broken wire itself, or did you use a new connector/jacket?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Mind the polarity from the ir-eye. You can&amp;#39;t just resolder the wire without checking the polarity.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you use a new connector, then the chassis is ground (-) and the little top is the positive lead (+). -&amp;gt; STB/DTV&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you re using a&amp;nbsp;3,5mm stereo jacket, then the middle ring is the positive&amp;nbsp;lead for STB/VAUX.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So if your soldering doesnt work, try to resolder the wire and switch&amp;nbsp;both leads. It will not damage your BV5 by switching the leads.&lt;/p&gt;
