There is nothing wrong with your signature.

Your recent posting was automatically sent for moderation because of what was considered potential spam.

When the system reviews postings it assigns points to words or duplication of words and phrases which could be spam, if the total number of points goes above a pre-defined level, then the posting is sent for moderation. There are many sections to the spam tracking and yours came under the heading or "Potential" meaning it could be harmless, but we are not sure.

This type of potential spam has a points threshold of 7 and that particular posting scored 8 that is why it was sent for moderation.

The threshold has never been changed since day one of Beoworld, but I am going to raise it to 8

The spam system tends to look at things spamers do and in your posting you repeated PUC/ which apparently spammers do a lot i.e. put a / after some capital letters without a space between them and had you done it once there would not have been a problem, but you did it twice which took you over the limit.

Yes, I approved it. This time I believe the culprit is the formatting in your signature! There's a long span of   (non-breaking space) tags before the "[...]" part, and I think it might be enough to trigger the repetition detector depending on what else you post contains.

Yes, I approved it. This time I believe the culprit is the formatting in your signature! There's a long span of   (non-breaking space) tags before the "[...]" part, and I think it might be enough to trigger the repetition detector depending on what else you post contains.

Hmmmm. Well, just attempted a post on the 'How to go Digital' thread.................. with no quotes or cut & paste............ and it dissappeared (no warning/moderator window etc.)!

I'll assume it will eventually appear.

Yes, but whenever your posts ended up in the queue, you had quoted a lot of formatted text.

Several Members have noted recently that their posting has been automatically sent for moderation for no apparent reason.

Well, actually there was a very good reason, but is unlikely to be apparant to the poster.

Many members have been writing their posts in Word or similar products and then copying and pasting it to the forum. In principle, not a problem except that Microsoft in particular tends to re-state (repeat the same) the text descriptor tags such as font, colour etc on every line typed which is invisible to you unless you click the HTML button as see everything, not just your text.. When you press POST the Community Server software scans all the text of the posting INCLUDING the HTML tags and if it sees to many repeats of the same text, it is automatically logged as needing moderation.

For members who wish to write their postings outside of the forum, may I suggest you used a non formatting text editor such as NOTEPAD
