Corrected it, its 16.3

It is new for me that the B&O slot card accepts no 1080p for instance. B&O has ALWAYS strange technical limitations although it is technical standard!

Latest software 16.3.

I''ve installed the DVI module and it works, but using the componentboard from Panasonic gives you more formats to use.

As the DVI module only accepts 480/575p and 1080i, the componentmodule cab handle almost all the different resolutions. One of them is 720p, which the DVI can t handle. At least my D6 doesn' t.

I made this exercise I would strongly recommend you to order the DVI slot card from B&O. Those card is easy to plug into the Panasonic panel and works like a charm. On/off, Auto contrast is working then. And you have to update your BS2 to the latest software which is 16.3.

The latest software for the system 2 is 16.3. It is used with the newer D11 panels.

I don't have the files for the panel. Probably a lot ot other members wants the same.

I think that there are no flashfiles for the panel. Every panel ordered at the dealer's is most probably preprogrammed by B&O itself.

Does it respond to the system 2 without any update yet? ON/OFF for a start?

The settings made in the D6 as Ralf showed are meant to recognize the panel by the system.

So even when your BS2 gets a softwareupdate in the future and has the D13 setting. Even then your panel has to be flashed. Otherwise several functions like the automatic contrast/brilliance will probably not work.

The RS232 cable is just a straight, not crossed, cable.

Take a look at the BV5-mk4 service manual.

Thanks for the excellent stuff. Hopefully somebody can say anything about my D13 Panel. Latest entry on BS2 is D11.

Another Question: which kind of serial cable do I need? Null-Modem (crossed) or a regulare straight serial cable?

Do you feed the BS2 with MP3 via SPDIF?

You must change the settings of the Panasonic Service Menu!
See ALL documentation on this site for BV4/BS2.

I did not find your display, so be aware!
I have a D6 SD Panel, so for me the first graphik was the one to go for.

I HAVE NO IDEA about D11 panel... maybe some expert can help....

Another issue which came up: I have attached a Panasonic Pro Panel TH-50PF20. Via VGA connection I get the pciture by the BS2 but the control signals from the BS2 via the RS232 cabel seems not working. I have set in the Service Menue: Plasma Settings --> PDP50D11 but is not working. I don't understand the further setting possibilities in this section as VGA Input (set to NONE and not accessable), SLOT1 and SLOT2 (set to VGA).

Please can anybody advise?

Hi,

who operates those configuration? I have attached a Mac Mini via Coax and only get sound when 5.1 as DVDs for instance is playing. Total silence when playing MP3 from iTunes. I have figured out that the reason is the capability of handling PCM stereo, so the BS2 seems not being able to do so. I have the DSM 2.3 software. Any ideas to injoy Stereo via the digital connection?
