Hi Jeff, It's going to be linked and most probably in A.Option 5 or 6. Certain Speakers will be of course attached on it so......... I think I need the full cabling/pinning on them.

Just to clarify (and I should have asked)... If speakers are attached to the BM7000 (OPT1) -then you do NOT need the PL cable. If there are no speakers attached (OPT0) then you will need the PL cable.

If a cable is needed -it does NOT have to be the fully pinned variant. However, should you be using a display speaker -a fully pinned PL cable would be in order... BUT (and I don't know the correct answer) the BeoLink converter may not pass display data along???

Yes. It should work fine.

You will need a 7PIN DIN (Male - Male) and a PowerLink cable.

The difference between the 1611 and 1614 converter is the following. With a T1611 converter an ML link product can be connected to a non ML-product (for instance a BeoLab 2000 to a BeoCenter 2300). This is not possible with a T1614 converter. When a linksystem has to be connected to a 1614 converter, there always has to be an ML master product in the mainroom. So the earlier mentioned setup (BeoLab 2000 and BeoCenter 2300) will not work with a T1614, but when for instance an Avant is also connected as a master TV, it will work.

T1615 is a BeoLink Video, for connecting an AAL television (for instance an MX7000) to an ML system in a linkroom. T1616 is a BeoLink Active for connecting active speakers to an ML system in a linkroom. T1636 is a BeoLink Active, like a T1616, but the T1636 has an extra input for connecting BeoLink PC-office as a local source.

Very useful list. One question. I'm discussing on buying a Beomaster 7000 because as far as I could remember it can be linked on current links using the BL 1611. Can you please specify if this is correct? Many thanks in advance.

Hello Tony, here is a short overview:

BeoLink Converter:

EU 1613 - introduced 1995
EU 1611 - introduced 1997 (recent SW version is 1.3)

US 1614 - introduced 1995
US 1612 - introduced 1997

ML/AAL converter with internal power supply and stand-by switching.

For connection between ML and 7-pin Din AAL (Audio Aux Link = DataLink)
audio and video products.

Special (BeoLink) Converter versions:

Type 1610 - Audio kit AV 9000 MKII
Type 1615 - No Power Link mounted

Is the 1615 converter the same as these two as well?

I believe the 1610 is for AV9000 connectivity only?

Both units have the same connectors (ML at one side, PL and Audio Aux on the other. What's the difference between those two?
