It is very common for the mute relay, which, as Andy says, only works on Speaker 1, to stick. It can be disassembled and cleaned and this normally fixes it. I had a similar problem with a BM5500 but confess to have been lazy and simply used Speaker 2!

Mute doesn't work on Speaker 2 connections, only Speaker 1.

Hi, we have BC9500 and BS5500. We noticed that if the speakers are conected to main speacers connections (Speaker 1), one of the channels doesnt work. When we moved speakers to Speaker 2 conection they are working.

Also it seems the Mute function on both systems doesn't work or maybe we are in mistake as the speakers are permanently connected to Speaker 2 connection. There are "click" from relays (probably), but the sound is not muted.

Help please to solve these problems. We are thinking the problem is not in "muting", but probably bad connection in Speaker 1 in both systems.
