Beoport is perfect for this. I use it with my iMac and BL6000 in the office and also can masterlink to my other B&O equipment. So sound of BS3200 from Livingroom is also in office and iMac media is also on BS3200...

If I'm not mistaken, you just need an Aux cable from your computer to the Beosound. And frankly spoken I would go that way instead of using the speakers directly to the computer, unless of course you could be using Beoport that has PL connection and a Y cable is only needed.

Do I need to go through all this trouble if I get an adapter for input to the BeoSound 4000 rather than going directly to the speakers? Or is it the same issue?

I remember getting one of those by mistake. Very confused to see a power transformer in the box when I ordered a din-4 aux adapter.

I could be wrong about this as my memory hardly operates any more, but I believe you may need line adaptors for BeoLab 2500s since they don't have a native "line" mode. In the USA these are commonly called BeoLab 2 line adaptors and have the ability to put a 12v power supply to the turn-on pin so that PL-only speakers (BeoLab 2, BeoLab 7, BeoLab 10) can remain turned on and operable. I also recall that they're not magnetically shielded so your dealer will have to order you the special hat.

Is it possible to use B&O speakers with a computer or a television or some device that uses a regular audio output cable? The speakers I have use a power link cable. Is there some sort of converter from power link to standard audio cable?
