&lt;p&gt;Thanks fro the prompt reply. I did have a look and indeed it is not so easy to remove the side panels. Anyway I don&amp;#39;t trust myself to do it so I&amp;#39;ll leave at it is.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As far as I know are all the&amp;nbsp;back covers&amp;nbsp;the same.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you unscrew both&amp;nbsp;covers and set them side by side, you will see no difference.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;About the side panels. They are part of the front frame. &lt;p&gt;Just joined this forum as a happy MX7000 owner since 1992 (type 3380). Picture and sound are unbelievable, even by today&amp;#39;s standards.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So, I got myself &amp;nbsp;a second one (type 7800) in 1996 and now a third one (type 8700), to replace the first one.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My question: can I change the back cover and matte side paneling from the old 3380 (better looking) to the newer 8700 (looks less good)? And how do I go about?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Who can advise? I am looking forward to a reaction.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
