The 5.1 software update for the Beosystem was mainly to allow the beosytem to work with the D10 panels. It added additional monitor codes so the system would switch to the VGA input instead of the DVI. I do not think it did anything else.

I have the last of the 2006 Beovision 4 - 50 plasmas. I believe with beosystem 1, I was told there is a 5.1 firmware update. I was told I willsee better digital image? One remote for everything. What does it really do?

I was also told there is a Zecktor switch out there. Any benefit in getting one. Im interested in squeezing everything out of this monitor.

Any input will be nice.
