&lt;p&gt;I suppose I could rig up an MCL2A but that seems a bit silly within a single room - guess I&amp;#39;ll just live with the lack of a mute function.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve used the MCL2p as a slave amplifier to drive speakers in a link room,and you can connect a MCL2a(Extra speaker kit)to the MCL2p,and then local muting is available within the relay box.Works very well.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It&amp;#39;s a useful amp,and of course saught after.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;To rule out a BeoCenter fault, I connected the MCL2P to my BeoCenter 9500 but the same thing happened.&amp;nbsp; Is the MCL2P faulty or does it simply not mute in this configuration?&amp;nbsp; (Does it only mute when used with an MCL2AV?)&lt;/p&gt;
