I got 1 question to the link to the kitchen. What if it would be a Beolink passive instead of MCL2047 and ML/MCL converter?

- Should work fine. Afaik the BL passive is the same device as an ML-MCL converter . just incl. IR eye. You save your MCL.

Friedmett:

As I understand the link room speakers goes to the ML line rather than MCL from the Beosystem 6500.

Yes, right. You can listen to your BS6500 in all linkrooms selecting A.AUX.

Friedmett:

Would a Beolink passive change anything in your sugested setup?

No. Using an ML-MCL converter gives you the possibility to add multiple (passive) link stations.

Sorry about my late reply...

Stefan

This means Beosystem 6000 and 8000 takes to much space but it plays awesomely when it works.

After getting the Beosystem 6500 I started to like how well functional and options you have towards linking which has become more of a things to try since I have more room than when getting into 6000 and 8000. Soundwise I like the 6500 just as much.

I like my CDX and BM8000 connection but push CD on a Beolink or MCP remote to get the CD6500 going is also as enjoyable to me.

The Beosound 9000 is interesting as the only way to really see if its going to be of good use is to get one. This goes for all B&O old or new. I have always wondered if I could live with just cd's but never really tried too do it. I even have the honor of 10 days at B&O in Struer packing these some 4-6 years ago if I recall correctly. The whole Beosound 9000 group were ladies at the time.

So far the Beosound 9000 is linked to the AV9000 loosely and it works great. It has not been used for cd playing the last few years so dust were ower and under the glass. It did say cd cleaning required. I did a research here on Beoworld and cleaned it. Then changed the option so Beo4 would work.

I got 1 question to the link to the kitchen. What if it would be a Beolink passive instead of MCL2047 and ML/MCL converter?

Good point.

I'm still using records and cassete tapes. If I could live with cd's only in the living room it would more simpel to link.

The alternative is to have the white Beosystem 6000 in the living room together with the AV9000 + Beosound 9000.

When I got my BS9000 I wanted to keep the BG7000 and the BC7000 and have a separate system in a linkroom. I also have a BL active in the linkroom to control my mainsystem.

Thank you for your reply.

Where do I put the Ml/MCL converter? I mean is it connected to the ML between the Beovisions?

You can add an ML-MCL converter anywhere in the ML system via a junction box.

I would connect the AV9000 and BS9000 via ML in the mainroom as video-/audiomaster in V.OPT 2 and A.OPT 0. Use the BS6500 as a "linksystem" in the office and connect the audio aux port with the AUX in of your BS9000. Now you can listen to your BS6500 in all linkrooms. Connect the LX5500 via a BL video to the ML system. Get an ML-MCL converter to use your MCL in the kitchen. You can use your MCL2 AV to control the BS6500 from your mainroom. Just connect it to the BM6500 MCL, install the IR eye in the mainroom and set it to L.OPT 4. Now you can control the BS6500 by pressing LINK-CD, LINK-PHONO..... To activate the BG6500 in the mainroom press A.AUX - LINK-PHONO. I have a similiar setup with BS9000, BV7-40 and BS7000. For activating the Link sources I have created macros for my Beo5. Works great.

Hope this helps

I finally got a Beogram 6500 to complete the Beosystem 6500. Ad another BM6500, BC6500 and MCP6500 to it as well. The BM is dead so it was rather cheap. Its now in the hands of Dillen to fix both of my BM6500.

Yesterday I saw a Beosound 9000 MKII 2001 for sale near Copenhagen for 914£. It needed to be cleaned a bit but it works perfectly. It came with the vertical wall bracket too but no remote. 1 owner so manuals and so forth as well. Great deal. Looks new.

Anyway know the question is how to link the following together:

In the living room I got my AV9000 + Beolab 8000 and 6000.

In the office I got Beosystem 6500.

In the bedroom I got my LX5500.

I would like to place the Beosund 9000 in the livingroom to the AV9000 but also I would like the Beosystem 6500 to be used from the AV9000.

The Beosystem 6500 is going to do a MCL link 2047 to kitchen, bedroom and terase. For the bedroom I have the MCL2AV TVkit.

Can the 2 audio master be on the link or is this link idea imposible?
