You can actually get a DVB module for the BV3 - the same as that for the Avant. I would however recommend avoiding it! Very expensive and not very good! From experience of a BV10 with a built in DVB compared to the same set with STB controlled Sky HD box, there is simply no comparison - the Sky box is vastly superior.

I believe you would need a freeview box. Don't rule out tiding yourself over with an old Avant of you can find one locally. Unlless it is a newer RF model second-hand values seem to have come down to pocket money prices!

So I guess that if I go for the BV3 I need a DVB/freeview box. This TV does not have it built in does it?

Get a BV8-32. This is quite inexpensive (for B&O level) and already gives a great picture (IMHO far better than any Samsung I´ve seen) with a reasonable Sound.

As stated before the panasonic is a great tv,the avant far too big object(bulky) for 32 inch (20th century technology),not be able to play modern games consoles with out adaptations if possible ie hdmi,also blu-ray,but the avant have stunning picture also very good speakers.and it is B&O!!!!

I would place myself in that camp. Outside of B&o -I am brand loyal to Panasonic.

The good Doctor brings up a valid point... at current prices the Avant/BV3 offers a great deal!

Unless you like sitting right up close to the TV, you will not see any difference between SD and HD on a 32" screen at normal viewing distances. An Avant or BV3 from the likes of Lifestyle would give you a much better sound and viewing experience. If you want to go for a flat screen, then the BV5 (42"), although SD, has a stunning picture.

I know several people who swear by the current Panasonic range (John Lewis with free Blueray player?)........ but you need to factor in a good cinema/ surround sound system to start to approach the B&O sound quality (from a normal B&O TV without extra speakers.)

For a 32" TV, I would get a BV3 or Avant. The picture will be just as good and the sound will be far better.

I know this has nothing to do with B&O but since I cannot afford this brand at present, I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips about a good Led TV. I'm looking for a full HD 1080, 32" screen possibly with Freeview HD (any good or it's not worth it?), with internet access possibly wirelessly (not sure).

I've seen some Samsung models like the UE32C8000 and Philips like the 32PFL7605 but these last don't come with Freeview HD apparently. I've also seen the Sharp Quattron that comes in 40" and 46" I believe.

As I said I'm rather confused and I'd appreciate any suggestions/comments.
