&lt;p&gt;I have a 2001 BeoVision 1 TV which stands on a black high-gloss video stand. Just like this&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;May sound a silly question - but I wonder if someone can tell me how to get the TV off the stand. I can&amp;#39;t remember if the metal pole is part of the TV or the video stand. When I lift the TV, the stand lifts too.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Is there a trick to getting them apart? I don&amp;#39;t have the manuals. I don&amp;#39;t want to force anything.&lt;/p&gt;
