&lt;p&gt;a B&amp;amp;O engineer has been round to repair the AV9000 TV associated to these speakers.&amp;nbsp; He had a good discussion with the owner and says that the Beolabs should work fine with the SONY.&amp;nbsp; As he fixed the AV9000 it&amp;#39;s a bit academic now but in the future they will still consider the SONY.&amp;nbsp; I suggested looking at AV Lifestyle as they have some good deals on TV&amp;#39;s which are obviously better suited to the 2 pairs of Beolab 8000&amp;#39;s they have.&amp;nbsp; It&amp;#39;s their choice and money in the end though.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;One could get a mini-jack-to-RCA cable and connect from the headphone jack to the BL8000 line in.&amp;nbsp; This would allow volume control via the TV.&amp;nbsp; The downside is that headphone jacks often have only fair to bad circuitry so the sound quality *might* be less then optimal.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;
