Does anyone know if this is a limitation of BV7-32 somewhat?

Re: Digital sound problem, help please.

Hi Dimitris

I don´t have a BV7-32, but if I know it right, you can use DVI-I together with ANY of the three scarts. You have to assign it in the connection menue. If you have assigned DVI-I as AV1 and V.MEM, please connect your scart from the receiver to AV1 and use A1 digital audio input for the coaxial cable. Then all should work by using V.MEM on Beo4.

Good Luck!

I now connected also the scart from the receiver to AV2 as V.AUX.

Now i can hear the digital audio broadcasts through V.MEM and the analogue broadcasts through V.AUX.

It is complicated but it works. Any ideas on what is the problem and a better remedy?

Re: Digital sound problem, help please.

Did you use the right scart connections at your receiver and BV7-32?

Try to connect only the scart cable: What happens if you switch to a broadcast without digital sound? Can you then see picture and hear sound? If no sound, is there a setting at the receiver offering only digital sound?

Regard

I have an HD-Ready BV7-32. I have just connected my new HD receiver to the DVI-I port. HD Channels show really nice, very clear picture. The sound comes from a coaxial cable connected to A1 input to the Digital out of my receiver. And here is the problem. Since the DVI port does not distribute sound, when i switch to a broadcast that does not have digital sound, i have no sound. Is there a way to overcome this please?
