If you pull this out with some eyebrow tweezers, and clean both sides with an earbud soaked in isopropanol, it will ensure a good contact to the screen.
That is of course, if AT's baterry connection advice doesn't work.

Andy T.

Re: BEO4 problem

IMHO, this is a different problem.

This case reminds me to a contact problem, because if You push the remote hardly (I mean You press any button), then the connection will be fine, and therefore You can see the screen - and if You stop the pushing (I mean, You release the buttons), than the connection will be terminated, and therefore You will miss the screen.

To check if this idea is the problem, I suggest to first remove the batteries, CLEAN the batteries place, mostly the small parts which connects the batteries power to the remote's power circuit. After this, try to rotate the batteries with your fingers, and move them up-down, left-right a little bit with Your hand. If You will see, that the screen goes on and off when You do these movements, You can be sure, that the solution lies there - You have to fix this connection (can't be a big money, and all kind of electronic specialist can do it for You). If the remote still not working, than somebody must check the inside of the remote for connection problems, probably Your local B&O dealer.

I don't think, that You have any problem with the screen except if the connection problem exists between the screen circuit and the motherboard circuit.

I hope this clue will help You to solve Your problem.

Re: BEO4 problem

New screen needed me thinks.
My BEO4 has recently developed a problem and I wonder if someone here might know what's wrong.

The screen only displays the function when I press a button. The screen goes blanc as soon as I release the button. If i keep LIST pressed it nicely scrolls through the functions which I can see on the screen. So I am pretty sure the screeen is ok.

To make sure I have replayed the batteries.

Anybody have an idea if i can fix this?

Thanks!
